Circuit des Yeux: “Truth”

Depeche Mode meets late Scott Walker? Keeley Forsyth meets Suzanne Vega? Neither comparison really nails it, but you get the idea. Circuit des Yeux makes dark, intense music with a foundational commitment to pop structures and sensibility. Our highlighted track “Truth” is a little too experimental, a little too thorny, to qualify as a dancehall banger. You need a more straightforward, dumber percussive thump for that. Still, it’s a soundtrack that feels right at home in a nightclub. One of those Matrix Trilogy nightclubs bathed in a green filter, full of extras that looked like they wandered off the lot of a 90s rave. Off Halo On The Inside. Via Matador.
