Good Enough: “Better Off Alone”

Just needs one little push to transform into 90s ska. Add a few Ois, a trombone riff, and the prized upstroke. But New Jersey’s Good Damage steps back from the brink on our highlighted track “Better Off Alone,” enjoying themselves in the pop punk zone. Chirpy distorted guitars, uptempo drumming, vocals to chew bubblegum to. Shades of Pink Slip, Avril Lavigne, and Pink. That’s a lot of Pink. The Jersey Sound described this song as having a “feisty throb,” which both strikes me as perverse and is also a description I can’t, or won’t, improve upon. Via Paper Sink Records.
