Joyride: “Cruise Control”

Upbeat indie rock jogger. Boston’s Joyride crafts the clean cut kind of indie rock that you can bring home to meet your mother. Shades of Beeef, shades of the surf rock pantheon. You don’t need to live in a state or city with a good ripcurl to write sand & surf numbers. The music is universal. There’s a metaphor at work in our highlighted track “Cruise Control” that connects the eponymous driving feature to trying to land a relationship. The exact nature of the connection eludes me but the guitars sound sweet & jangly. Isn’t that enough?
