Pintail: “Of Course You Like It”

There’s a story behind the album cover. Here’s the setup: “Two young wind turbine repair techs standing on a burning tower, with no way left to leave…” Sometimes it takes the jolt of catastrophe to bring out our true colors.

That’s just some of what Pintail is exploring on its debut EP Bury a Body, Grow A Person, dropping September 23.

Our highlighted track “Of Course You Like It” shimmers with medium tempo cascades of strong riffery, intricate fretwork, and powerful percussion. The upward lift of the song and vocal layering, creating something like choral accompaniment by the finish, is a buoyant jammer for the alt rock faithful.
