Walk Me Home: “Inside”

A spacey soft rock tripper with some alt folk tendencies. Adrianne Lenker’s voice launched a thousand ships of whispy warblers humming in her honor. I promise it’s not just lazy music criticism that’s searching for a lazy comparison. Listen to our highlighted track “Inside” from Walk Me Home and tell me if you can’t hear a similarity in the cadence and timbre. That’s what I hear. I also hear some Scott Walker and Keeley Forsyth, which is where the intersection of musical trajectories starts to get really interesting. There are all kinds of songs on the EP What Do You Think, and they’re about all sorts of things, but this one’s about the adventures of a voice.
