Tangerine Dream: “You’re Always On Time”
“You’re Always On Time” off Raum by Tangerine Dream.
The band that scored Revenge of the Nerds (1984) is back with a new album, Raum. We’re talking about Tangerine Dream, the German electronic pioneers that deservedly get name-dropped in the same breath as Kraftwerk when you’re talking about the absolute origin story of the electronic music movement.
The line-up has shifted a bit, as key founder Edgar Froese passed away in 2015, but their bleep-and-bloopification of the krautrock vibe is still going strong.
Our highlighted track “You’re Always On Time” evidences a band of innovators who haven’t lost a decigram of punch since forming in 1967.
By the way, you can purchase their full discography on Bandcamp for a mere £1489.50. What are you waiting for?!
