Blanket Approval: “Heartbreak City”

Rock with a little funk, a little groove. A kind of Strokes-y rhythm at times. A kind of MGMT electro sparkle. Our highlighted track “Heartbreak City” by Blanket Approval sounds like the indie rock version of DLC content for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Which is not bad – that series has great music. You can drive around and get lost in all the available radio stations without even worrying about doing the missions. Just don’t start running over the prostitutes for shits & giggles. That behavior, much like animal abuse and wetting yourself, is high on the list for early signs of psychopathy.
