FACS: “Wish Defense”

A stopper. A starter. Also, why am I getting faint Police vibes? Maybe it’s the guitar textures on our highlighted track “Wish Defense” by FACS. Texture aside, the cutting edge of the angular composition is too aggressive for Sting. Plus, Brian Case does the post punk speak/shout over the top, and he’s not shouting about putting on, or not putting on, red lights. What’s he shouting about? Hard to say. The lyrics read like an extended dance remix of a haiku. Off the full-length album by the same name, Wish Defense. Via Trouble In Mind Records.
