Mountain Party: “Proletariat”

Class consciousness, dad rock: together at last. All signs indicate that Atlanta’s Mountain Party has been more or less inactive since they played a show at The Earl in February 2022. The Earl! One of those indie music joints that you always see on the touring itinerary of your favorite low- and mid-level indie acts. Our highlighted track speaks truths that must sound like alien gibberish to the Tesla-heads:
they got money to burn, they got money to spend
they got money they earned, they got money to lend
we got money we owe, but no money to grow
its only money we know, its only money we know
they got our worth in hands that never worked a day
in their goddamn lives but they make us pay
for the things they take and the lives they break
but its not okay, no its not okay
Off Proletariat.
