The Sheila Divine: “The Rapture”

Kind of a solemn grind. Our highlighted track “The Rapture” showcases The Sheila Divine on medium tempo harangue. They can play softer. They can play faster. This alt rock drill to the skull takes it slow and serious. After all the buildup, a nice little release in the back half of the song. “Transcendent” might be too salutary a designation. But they scrape their way to a finish that does not betray in sound the kind of anxiety suggested in the lyrics. Anxiety at what? Not being taken up by the Rapture, presumably. Off I Am The Darkness. We Are The Light.
