Daniel Knox: “Don’t Forget To Cry”

Where in the world is Daniel Knox? In Portugal these days, photographing slugs, playing gigs in the Old World, and kicking out the occasional single like our highlighted track “Don’t Forget To Cry.” Hard to think of him outside the land of hot dogs and broad shoulders, but I’m sure there’s some local equivalent on the Iberian peninsula. And he still got this track mixed at Electrical Audio, so he just can’t quit the Third Coast altogether. Piano notes, baritone vibrato, whipsmart lyrics with equal parts wit and sadness. All the makings of a classic Knox cabaret tune.
