Rosali: “Slow Pain”

Live, solo, acoustic: Rosali.
Following up on her knockout LP Bite Down, Rosali returns with a slate of intimate reinterpretations of the same songs. The original album was built on outstanding ensemble work with a full band.
Rosali’s voice is undimmed, whatever the surroundings, but she did remark at one show during the Bite Down album tour that “Hills On Fire” was something like a duet, featuring her voice and the powerful guitar playing of James Schroeder.
So maybe a solo spin gives her voice a little opportunity to build sandcastles in the sandbox of Bite Down without any distractions? Off Slow Pain: Live and Solo from Drop of Sun. Via Merge Records.
