Kali Malone: “All Life Long (for organ)”
An 8:38 track from the Swedish expo synth queen Kali Malone? She can barely sneeze inside of ten minutes. But life finds a way.
Her latest album (she cranks em out!) All Life Long dropped in November. From the sound of early releases like our highlighted title track “All Life Long (for organ)” it’s church music for profound unbelievers. Not satanists, mind you. Just unbelievers.
Speaking of unbelieving, her first edition pressing of 4000 records only has 281 copies left, according to Bandcamp. Yet somehow the LP only appears in 577 Bandcamp collections at the time of writing. Not saying she’s not popular or that there aren’t a bevy of other platforms she’s selling on, but something feels funny about the math.
