Kestrels: “Last Christmas”

Is Wham’s #xmas4eva banger a new classic? It’s the easiest thing in the world to knock out a holiday cover, but it’s not easy at all to crack the holiday music cannon. You know, write a song that’s epic enough to join the ranks of “Jingle Bells” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Kestrels know that Wham! was onto something big, and they bring their own flavor of gazey indie rock to pay tribute to our highlighted track “Last Christmas.” Watch for the big finish. Extra points for the George Michael Xmas ornament on the cover. Via Darla Records.
