Bedbug: “The Next Day”

Bedroom pop or garage rock? What if your bedroom was the garage? Our highlighted track “The Next Day” is the opening number off Bedbug’s self-titled EP. It’s an intimate affair that feels like it was recorded in short order, on a modest rig, with a lot of wind beneath its wings. A drumkit, guitar, and vocal do all the heavy lifting, and the song gets pretty lifted, spinning on towards a surprisingly epic crescendo, lovingly off kilter, before crawling back into a modest mousehole in the wall.
