Not to be confused with the NEU! jam “Für immer.” But Kratzen is a German band, straight outta Cologne. The strumming comes steady, the construction is solid, the temperament is even. The band is aiming for a smooth grind without ostentation or conspicuous ornament. Minimalist? Maybe. Nothing like a guitar solo, for sure, and the guitar fills are a few notes at most. A kind of so-called “krautwave” sound. Sure, why not? Off III.
