Luis Lopes: “echoism II”

Should we write up echoism I, II, III, IV, V, VI, or VII? “Echoism II,” of course! A real mid-20th century avant garde jazz squealer. The saxophones sound like balloons doing the high-pitch deflation thing. Rhythm is all around us, falling out of the closets & cupboards, landing like a loogie on the hoods of your freshly-polished Saddlebacks. A lot of chaos for the second track of the album, but Portugal’s Luis Lopes needs to lay down the problems that he will spend the rest of his full-length Abyss Mirrors: Echoisms trying to solve.
