A breezy folk rock swinger. Maryland’s Red Birds don’t rush the tempo on our highlighted track “Flat,” which sashays along the boulevard like a working mug on payday. Nice buildup, ramping up the intensity with subtle nudges, pert lyrics, and a solid down strum. Extra points for the swamp frog trio jamming on the front porch of the album cover.
