Sean Nicholas Savage: “Lust For Life”

Canada’s thin white duke takes a classic for a spin. Our highlighted track “Lust For Life” was co-written by David Bowie, so it feels like a full circle (or at least semi-circle) moment. Sean Nicholas Savage’s interpretation is, true to form, a much more tender rendition. To hear that “Free Willy” energy jibe against Iggy Pop’s bawdy and naughty lyrics is a lark. And the warm acoustic picking trades cynicism with an instinct for earnestness. Off The Knowing. Via Born Losers Records.
