SunDog: “Smutt”

Of course we were going to review this song off the album. “Smutt.” I enjoy the extra layer of meaning, sneaking the “mutt” into “Smutt” on behalf of a band called SunDog. Straight outta Alaska! Not entirely clear what the primary layer of meaning is though. Something about making a “big mistake.” Which, you know, we’ve all done. And I especially enjoy the slightly melancholy tone underwriting this song, the final track on the album. It’s always hard to say goodbye. Off About You.
